From Steven Bryant's A Chorus Loud and Strong and Nkeiru Okoye 's Voices Shouting Out, to Wayne Oquin's Song for Silent Voices, and Eric Whitacre's Goodnight Moon, the works on this program express the pain of loss, the innocence of childhood, and the resilience of the human spirit. James Stephen's remarkable compositional voice brings it all together in his powerful and uplifiting Symphony No. 2 ("Voices").
