Tradewinds
Two outstanding wind ensembles, both conducted by Dr. Evan Feldman, join together to present a program featuring each group individually as well as a partnership in which all 100 players join together.
The UNC-CH Wind Ensemble will perform Sergei Prokofiev's Ode to the End of the War, an astounding composition scored for winds, percussion, four pianos, and EIGHT(!) harps.
The Triangle Wind Ensemble will then present Percy Grainger's complete Lincolnshire Posy, followed by other selections inluding Daybreak Crossing by David Biedenbender, Bohemian Revelry by Adam Gorb, and Only Light by Aaron Perrine.
Finally, both ensembles will combine for a performance of Oscar Navarro's striking Libertadores.
