Sheltering Sky Animation Licensing Information

One of TWE's major goals in commissioning the animation for Sheltering Sky was to give back to the wind band community which we love so much. To that end, here is the process by which we hope to share this animation with groups worldwide.

Sheltering Sky Animation Screening & Performance Process 
  • Ensembles wishing to perform the music will need to secure their own Sheltering Sky score and parts. These are available directly from John Mackey at ostimusic.com.
  • To obtain permission to screen our film during your performance of Sheltering Sky, a representative from your ensemble will need to fill out the form below and obtain a Screening License for your organization. After receiving your inquiry, we will promptly respond with details about pricing and screening/technical requirements.​​​​
    • K-12 school groups will have access to the film for free, though we would certainly welcome donations, especially if tickets are sold for the concert.
    • Collegiate groups and other adult/community wind ensembles will be asked to pay a small fee per screening. Fees may vary based on the venue capacity and more information can be provided upon request.
  • Once the screening license is agreed upon, a link to the un-watermarked animation will be sent to your organization.
  • The animation must be shown in its entirety, including credits, without modification.
  • All screenings will be advertised in an "Upcoming Screenings" section of our website.
  • We will provide notes for your conductor about key points in the animation which are intended to sync to the music. 
  • We will also provide artwork which may be used for marketing purposes.
  • For groups interested in using "Sheltering Sky" merchandise as a fundraiser for their organization, we also have produced 8" plush stuffed dolls of the main character, Sebastian. Your group can buy these from us at discount price ($15 each) and then sell to your audience members for our suggested $20 retail price. Local groups can do this on consignment, paying after the sales are complete and returning any unsold dolls. For details about this option, please express interest in the form below.
  • Upon completion of the screening, we would appreciate any feedback you have to provide from either your audiences or performers.
