Wind Bands have a long and rich history throughout Spain, and our spring concert will explore this aspect of Spanish culture by inviting the renowned director and educator Juan José Navarro to help lead the Triangle Wind Ensemble for our concert, A Spanish Spring. Mr. Navarro is music director of the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Almería University, San Indalecio Wind Symphony Orchestra, and teacher at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Música of Almeria in Andalusia.
Selections for this concert will feature works from a variety of Spanish composers.

The Triangle Wind Ensemble is an adult wind ensemble based in North Carolina's Triangle region. Many of the area's most talented wind and percussion players join together to practice and perform an exciting range of music for audiences in both formal and informal settings. Our repertoire includes transcriptions of classical orchestral music, original compositions for wind band, small ensemble pieces, popular medleys and arrangements, as well as holiday and patriotic music for special occasions. We present multiple concerts each season in locations across the Triangle, including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and Chapel Hill.
