Audition Process

If you are interested in auditioning, please contact us so that we may reserve a time for you to audition. If you do not reserve a time, you may still come during the audition times, and we will do our best to fit you in.

Prepare a short solo piece or excerpt (less than 5 minutes) that demonstrates your musical talents and abilities. Feel free to play whatever you deem represents your playing most appropriately.

In addition, we want to know how you would perform as a member of our ensemble. If you are auditioning mid-season, we invite you to sit in with us on a rehearsal. This gives us both a chance to get to know each other before any commitment is made. If you are auditioning at a scheduled audition time, you will be asked to sight-read a duet with a member of the ensemble to show your ensemble skills.

Audition Dates

In-season auditions may be arranged on a case-by-case basis, and are typically used to fill immediate openings in sections, or for those sections which are filled, to establish a sub list.
